Description
The set is divided into three main buildings and various stands advertising wizarding merchandise. There are (in order of construction), Ollivanders Wand Shop, Borgin and Burkes (technically in Knockturn Alley), and Gringotts Bank.
Ollivanders Wand Shop: The wand shop is a two story building with a blue roof and lots of glass windows. The sign above the door reads in peeling yellow paint "Ollivanders" and inside the shop there are lots of wand boxes on shelves. Ollivander's desk, with a copy of the Quibbler and a quill, is on the bottom floor. It also has an "exploding" feature when spells go badly. There is a ladder that allows mini-figures to go up to the top floor, where there are various potion bottoms and a stand with two Indiana Jones whips and more wand boxes. There is also a bin with real wands (as the boxes are just stickers) and the side of the building has a wanted poster of a criminal wizard.
Borgin and Burkes: This shop of dark magic has a black, gray, and green with glow in the dark elements. A skeleton display leers out of a window, and there is a chimney that when rotated turns around the Floo Network fireplace. The outside of the building is overgrown with green plants and a sign that says the name of the store. A second Vanishing Cabinet, connected to the one at Hogwarts, is included as well as a rat on the roof and an assortment of creepy, evil objects.
Gringotts Wizarding Bank: This bank is made to look like pristine white marble and is divided into three sections that can be closed up together. It is an impressive two-story building with large double doors. The bank’s interior features a removable vault along with the Sorcerer's Stone with some coins, a goblin clerk's desk with a quill, a majestic chandelier and ‘wonky’ support pillars. There is lots of glass windows and a glass ceiling, as well as torches, keys, and two portraits of wizards.
The set includes Mr. Olivander's Wand Shop, Borgin and Burkes, and Gringotts Bank, as well as twelve Minifigures including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Hagrid, Fred Weasley and George Weasley, two Gringotts Goblins, Mr. Ollivander, Lucius Malfoy (with Death Eater disguise), Fenrir Greyback, a skeleton, and four new, decorated owls. Both Gringgots Goblins are now featured with flesh colored skin. A second vanishing cabinet is included with this set; the first one has been seen in 4842 Hogwarts Castle. There is also a second floo powder fireplace; the first one appeared in 4840 The Burrow. Both the vanishing cabinet and the floo grate appear in Borgin and Burkes. The Marauder's Map, and the newspapers , The Quibbler and The Daily Prophet are included. Many glow-in-the-dark elements are implemented into Borgin and Burkes.
