5002123 Darth Revan is a polybag released in 2014, featuring the Dark Lord of the Sith and leader of the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War. The polybag was first available in the Czech Republic,[1] but was available elsewhere as a part of the 2014 "May the Fourth" promotion.[2]
Description
The polybag includes seven parts, used to build the Darth Revan minifigure. This figure features black legs with printing on both the legs and the leg joint in dark red and dark grey, depicting a belt and his robes, most notably areas of dark red on the inside of each leg and the centre join for the centre section of his robes. Revan's torso is dark red, with black arms and dark red hands. The front features dark grey and black printing to continue the robe's design, including folds, the top areas of the belt, and printed clasps at the top for the cape. The head piece is dark grey, with dark red and black printing to depict the mask that Revan famously wore at various points in his life. Darth Revan comes with three accessories- a black hood and cape, and a red-bladed lightsaber.
Background
Revan was a Jedi and hero of the Mandalorian Wars, despite him and his Jedi followers being denounced by the Jedi Council for his aggressive actions which the Jedi Order officially wanted no part in. After the Battle of Malachor V, in which the Mass Shadow Generator was activated by one of Revan's lieutenants, the Jedi Meetra Surik, the Mandalorian forces surrendered and the war was won. However this came at a great cost- the Mass Shadow Generator killed not only Mandalorians, but thousands of Jedi and Republic soldiers as well, and caused a wound in the Force.
Weeks after the battle, Revan and his Jedi friend who went by Captain Malak learned the tale of the Sith Lord Vitiate, who performed a ritual of Sith magic on the planet Nathema which gave him the power of immortality at the cost of wiping out all life on the planet's surface. Revan and Malak managed to track down the Sith, discovering a hidden Sith Empire. Upon entering his throne room, the Sith Emperor dominated Revan and Malak's mind, twisting their already darkened minds and completing their fall to the Dark Side of the Force, anointed them Darths Revan and Malak, and sent them to find the Star Forge, and ancient Rakatan superweapon to crush the Republic with.
However, by the time they had found the Star Forge, Revan and Malak had managed to break free of the Emperor's control. Revan assumed the rank of Sith Master with Malak as his apprentice, declared themselves leaders of a new Sith Empire taking command once again of their followers Mandalorian Wars, and they decided to use the Star Forge for their own purposes. Declaring war on the Repbulic, the Jedi Civil War was fought, but one year into the war, Malak had clearly begun to resent his Master, and the two duelled, which resulted in Revan removing Malak's lower jaw, forcing him to wear a prosthesis and speak through a vocabulator from then on. Later that year, a strike force led by the Jedi Knight Basila Shan attacked Revan's ship. At this time, Malak sensed Revan was in danger, and fired on Revan's ship in an attempt to kill him and assume the title of Sith Master. Although critically injured, Bastila used the Force to save Revan's life, which in turn created a powerful bond between the two. Still in a coma from his injuries, Bastila took Revan to the Jedi Council, who wiped his mind and gave him a new identity. Revan eventually trained again as a Jedi, and along with Bastila and seven other new friends, battled Darth Malak's forces, and proved to be once again a servant of the Light Side, even after discovering who he truly was.
Revan and his team eventually ended the War, with Revan killing Malak on the Star Forge, and Republic forces destroying the superweapon itself. Revan and Bastila were later married, but left his wife and unborn child when memories of Vitiate's Sith Empire began to resurface from his wiped mind. Revan found the Sith Emperor once again, but was imprisoned. Year later, he found and freed by his former lieutenant Meetra Surik. However, after a short battle, Surik was killed and Revan was held captive in a trance by the Emperor for three hundred years. Vitiate did this in an attempt to use Revan's mind to learn everything about the Republic, but the combined wills of Revan and Surik (now as a Force Ghost), held off his efforts as best as they could. Revan was eventually freed by Republic forces and fought once again for the Republic, this time against Vitiate's Sith Empire. At this time in history, one of Revan's descendants, Satele Shan, was the Jedi Order's Grand Master. However, shortly after he was freed, Revan was defeated by an Imperial strike team, but vanished before he could be killed, and was never reported to be seen again.
