Official Friends are websites that Brickipedia endorses and links to on its main page.

Making a Request

Before making an official friends request, your site should:

  • Be primarily about LEGO
  • Already have some degree of activity or interest from LEGO fans.

Additionally, since this is intended as a two-way relationship, once an official friend request is approved, you are expected to link to Brickipedia (http://en.brickimedia.org/), and place this link somewhere relatively easy to find on your site. Failure to do so is likely to have your official friend status revoked.

To make a request, please copy the following code, fill out the appropriate sections and add it to the bottom of the page. Please note that you should only make a request if you are an owner, administrator, or webmaster of a site, and have the site's approval to make such a request.

Mixels Wiki

User requesting official friend status: PufflePal (talk) 20:57, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Comments from user requesting official friend status: Meiko suggested I put this up. We have more Mixels information than you can find on both the LEGO and Cartoon Network websites combined, and I'm sure we can reach out to more people if we were in official friend status with Brickipedia. The Mixels Wiki is even considered a sort of leader in the Mixels fandom.

Support

  1. As nominator. PufflePal (talk) 20:57, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
  2. Seems to be a fine quality resource. --ToaMeiko (talk) 23:42, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
  3. Checked some of the pages, and it seems to be of good quality. VERY good quantity as well. The fact that it is on Wikia incites a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, but we shouldn't waste opportunities because of indirect feuds. BrickfilmNut (talk) 23:46, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
  4. It took some thought, but here I am supporting.... Berrybrick (talk) 00:53, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
  5. Basically per Berrybrick. -NBP3.0 (talk) 13:55, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
  6. Per BFN. CJC95 (talk) 16:28, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. I don't want to support wikia. The community is very immature, there are so many bad words, disrespectful users, death threats, I feel bad just looking at it...--Schtickman (talk) 23:30, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
#After taking a quick look, it seems as if the community is VERY immature :/ So, weak oppose.(Vote changed to neutral) --LK901 17:26, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Can you point me to some examples? --ToaMeiko (talk) 20:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
If you're referring to Dadaw, English isn't even his first language. This makes him come off as immature with his grammar, but the community overall is very mature. PufflePal (talk) 21:54, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
This is a bit more than just English as a second language... --ToaMeiko (talk) 22:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Oh, wow. That's a bit crazy. But still, the majority of the community isn't like that. PufflePal (talk) 22:04, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, majority of community isn't like that....it's even worse. --Schtickman (talk) 23:15, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
@Meiko: I was in part referring to Dadaw, but I found a few others too. --LK901 20:47, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Because no user from here has ever gone and trolled another site? CJC95 (talk) 21:03, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Good point. Will change to neutral. --LK901 21:53, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
  2. No wikia partners, they're could be an add for "lego wiki" and the reader will forget about us :S Also why would we advertise our competition. Most of the information there should be found here too. It's more a matter of our laziness, no support needed. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
Excuse me? I'll have you know, we in no way support or like the Brickipedia on Wikia. If anything, we like this place way better. Also, there is no competition. We have much more Mixels info than you, so others can come to there and take information and bring info to here. We have no problem with that. In a way, we're helping. PufflePal (talk) 21:09, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
I opposed, but I didn't do so in a rude and immature manner. Requesting 'official friend' here 'seems' to suggest that they prefer this site to Brickia? And LMBW is on Wikia... --LK901 21:51, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
I never said they like wikia better but they're associated with it, I was referring to the reader here :/ However they are asssociated with lego wikia as it allways comes up in suggested wikias adds by wikia which they can't control. LMBW isn't our offical friend, and I don't recall me praising them ever :/ And what did I say that was rude? That were lazy? Well I think most of our users agree with that statement :P and I was reffering to myself aswell. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
  3. The wiki is a bit too small (in my opinion) to be associated with us. Also, the wikia thing BrikkyyTalk

  • The wiki's fine, but it's on Wikia, and I don't want to support Wikia. --Knight
    • That's something called descrimination. What has Wikia done to you? PufflePal (talk) 00:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
  • To Schtickman: Says a person who is on the Mixels Wiki... PufflePal (talk)
  • Neutral NovaHawk 00:49, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
  • To you PufflePal: I am the person who dislikes Mixels Wiki the most and deleted my wikia account. I even think Mixels Wiki was one of the reasons why I decided to leave wikia. I have nothing against you, but that community is...terrible. Unsigned comment by Schtickman (talk • contribs).
  • Neutral: Don't want to support because of the reasons I pointed out above, but unfair to oppose. --LK901 21:53, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
  • I agree with the wikia thing. If you (PufflePal) were there for that whole fiasco you'd agree too. BrikkyyTalk
    • Well, I wasn't. I've hardly been on the Wikia Brickipedia. I'd prefer to stay out of that, thank you. And I'd prefer if people not voted based on whatever happened between you guys. PufflePal (talk) 12:18, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
      • But your a single user not the site who says the rest of the users site don't like bricki wikia or future users won't? :/ Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
        • The wikia thing wasn't really why I voted against the friendship. I voted against it because the wiki only has 440 pages (last time I checked). Say that the mixels wiki had its own namespace like us, I still wouldn't support because of how small it is. BrikkyyTalk
  • General note- please remember, when commenting in a support/oppose area, you need to start your indenting with a # to preserve the vote count, for example, #: or #** NovaHawk 22:15, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
  • I'll post this here rather then above so people will se it: All information on that wiki should be here on Brickipedia "we strive to be the best lego resource out there", all of that is valid LEGO information. If anything that site is our competition :/ Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
    • That's true that we should have most if not all of the content they have, however that doesn't prevent a site from being an official friend and by no means makes it the competition. Being an official friend is essentially a linkshare agreement where we'll link to them and they'll link to us. That can help both sites— someone who wants more Mixels-oriented content can find their way to Mixels Wiki from Brickipedia, or someone who wants more broad coverage of the LEGO topic, they can find their way to Brickipedia from Mixels Wiki. This could also encourage their users to add more Mixels-related information to our articles, as I already have noticed them doing. It's hardly any different than how we link to sites like Wookieepedia or LEGO Universe Wiki on our articles about Star Wars of LEGO Universe topics, just that we will get linked back to with Mixels Wiki. --ToaMeiko (talk) 20:33, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
    • So we should remove Brickset and Minifigs.nl and minland.nl and the BIONICLE and HF wikis too? CJC95 (talk) 22:28, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
  • So what's the deal with this request? BrikkyyTalk 00:21, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
    • I presume it passes? idk --ToaMeiko (talk) 19:42, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

BrickUniverse

User requesting official friend status: ToaMeiko on behalf of BrickUniverse coordinators

Comments from user requesting official friend status: BrickUniverse is an upcoming LEGO fan convention in the United States. Following their request for me to speak on behalf of Brickipedia at BrickUniverse 2015, they have asked to become friends with the site.

  • It seems a little odd to have a convention's site as a friend, but I'm still going to support it. - Bug (talk) 00:04, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
    • It's hardly any different, but could actually be better, in that if we're included in the event program, all the people who go to the event will see our name in the program. That could help us out a lot. --ToaMeiko (talk) 00:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
  • Eh the site dosnt work for me :P Also I don't like promoting U.S. only things, but I don't think that's a reason to object. User:Soupperson1/Sog
