Articles for Deletion - Proposed Mergers - Proposed Splits - Proposed Name Changes
Overview
Mergeto.png

Proposed Mergers lists articles that are proposed to be merged into other articles.

To propose an article merger, put {{Mergeto}} on the top the respective page and, then click here and replace Page 1 and Page 2 with the names of the two articles that you want to be merged together, and replace Page 3 with the name of the article you want them merged into. Please note that Page 2 and Page 3 can be the same article, if applicable. Briefly explain why you want the articles to be merged directly under the header, and then sign (~~~~) directly under the ;Support section. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so.

A list of past proposals is available here.

NOTE: Nominations for duplicate articles (articles that are about the same set with the same set number) do not need to be placed here, as they are technically the same page. Add a {{Delete}} tag with the reason to the duplicate article instead.

Nominations

Cinderella (mini-doll) and Cinderella merge to Cinderella, Ariel (mini-doll) and Ariel merge to Ariel, etc.

I'm setting this up for Soupperson1. Berrybrick 17:11, November 9, 2013 (UTC)

Discussion

ShadoWind and Lavertus merge to Lavertus

These articles should be merged as they -- according to recent info -- concern the same character and "Shadowind" is simply another variation of Lavertus.

Discussion

  • If they definitely are- speedy merge. NovaHawk 02:08, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Totes Soup

Bricksburg, The Wild West, Middle Zealand, Cloud Cuckoo Land, and The Ocean to...something else.

I don't think that each section needs its own page, especially when in the past articles have typically been one page per universe's world. Kingdom of Chima comes to mind, and I think that we have one for Ninjago too. I don't know what we would call it though. I think that Wyldstyle referred to it as "The Universe," so I'd say "Universe (The LEGO Movie)" but I can't be sure. Any other ideas?

Discussion

  • As nominator, I support merging, but I'm not quite sure what the new page should be yet. Berrybrick (talk) 19:53, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

  • support? --LK901 17:05, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Since it doesn't seem they were merged yet, I'll support. BrickfilmNut (talk) 15:31, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Brotherhood of Makuta and Makuta (Species and Title) merge to Brotherhood of Makuta

Just seems like the least convoluted and confusing thing to do for a theme that is convoluted and confusing.

Discussion

Flame and Raja, merge to Part:15633

  • Even though I do so much enjoy being reverted all the time without any discussion taking place, I thought I'd set up a proposed merger just for laughs. You know, like what how it should have been set up as a proposed split in the first place, but the opposite. NovaHawk 00:27, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

Discussion

  • Merge. They're both the same piece. There doesn't need to be two pages for one piece. Different characters? Big deal, use subheadings, like how it was. NovaHawk 00:27, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Merge Okay Berrybrick (talk) 00:41, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Stay Eh different accessories means we can't use the accessory part of the info box, different characters mean different backgrounds. Also they're found in different themes. A lot of animals are the same piece but are on different pages. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
    • Where? First one I've seen that's been split NovaHawk 11:42, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Stay - I see the point of staying split, more than I see the point of merging I guess. Neither page claims to be a part page. If its going to be a part page, it shouldn't be merged to "Tiger" but to whatever part pages are called these days. CJC95 (talk) 15:50, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
    • Oh yeah, my bad, it should totally be a part page. Changed in header NovaHawk 22:59, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
  • Weak stay per CJC. BrickfilmNut (talk) 15:33, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Necromancer of Dol Guldur merge to Sauron

Merge
  1. Because they're the same and don't really have any sort of personality differences? NovaHawk 13:02, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
  2. Merge. It's not like Bruce Wayne, where merging him with Batman's page would create a behemoth of an article. I think it's safe enough to merge these two. BrickfilmNut (talk) 15:34, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Don't merge
  1. We have different pages for Bruce Wayne and Batman. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg
Because they're two different identities and very different looking minifigures- in this case it's an evil black sorcerer and an evil black sorcerer :P NovaHawk 22:48, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
But they're the same character, these figures aren't similar either. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg

KC705 Spider-Man Key Chain merge to 851027 Spider-Man Key Chain

These are the exact same. I don't know the policy on this but two pages for the exact same thing seems useless. In the notes we could just write that another ID for 851027 was KC705. If you don't believe so, I can easily Copy/Paste a description from 851027 into KC705. But it seems rather useless seeing as all the Spider-Man 2 keychains are singular other than Spidey himself. Who has two.

Discussion

  • Merge, as nominator. -User:Nexus
  • Stay : Kabaya sets were in the same boat as this yet they were still marketed under different product codes BrikkyyTalk 10:34, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
    • "KC" product codes aren't official- they're fan-made (I think the "KC" line originates from BrickLink). They were from a time when we didn't know such item numbers because they weren't printed on the keychain NovaHawk 12:00, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
  • No-brainer merge- they're the same NovaHawk 12:00, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
  • Merge. Nominating these for merger was actually in an ancient to-do list of mine. BrickfilmNut (talk) 15:37, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
  • There is no requirement for a merger (proposal*) - somewhere in the MoS it will state that official names should be used if possible, and one of these names is unofficial. CJC95 (talk) 16:54, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
    • The starred bit was edited in after Meiko said "Per CJC". CJC95 (talk) 20:15, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
  • Per CJC --ToaMeiko (talk) 17:55, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

600px-Yes check.svg.png Done. it's just common sense. NovaHawk 23:02, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Mind Control Orb and Mind Control Orb 2.0 merge to Mind Control Orb

These two objects are identical in appearance, and in function as well.

Merge Captain Redbeard (Pirates 2015) to Captain Redbeard

Merge
  1. Because they're the same character? NovaHawk 04:21, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
