Brickipedia:Proposed Name Changes
| Overview
Proposed Name Changes lists articles that are proposed to be moved to a different title. While it should be clear for most articles what the title should be from our naming conventions, there are those which are no so straightforward. An example of this includes a minifigure which is given two different names in the same official description. Voting will last for a maximum of one week, with the article being moved to the highest vote count. If a vote reaches a ratio of 3:1 (or 3/0), the voting may be concluded and the article moved. Nominations whose names are clearly defined in the naming conventions may be struck by an administrator. A list of past proposals is available here. If you want to make a new suggestion, please use the following syntax: == [[<article>]], move to "<article>" == <nominator comment> ===Discussion=== *'''Move''', as nominator. |

Category:User files vs. "Category:User Images"
- Keep at Category-User files
- This category, and it's related license tag, {{user-file}} is for both videos and images (images≠videos). NovaHawk 07:34, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
- I just wanna agree with Nighthawk leader here, keep it as is. If we still are? -User:Nerfblasterpro/sig1 18:41, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Female Surgeon, move to "Surgeon"
- I know the names are conjectural, but do we really need the "female"? We don't have a male surgeon, so it seems unnecessary. NovaHawk 04:28, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Keep as Female Surgeon

That makes sense now, but sometime collectable minifigs release a similair figure of the opposite gender, such as the caveman/cavewoman, pharoah/Egyptian woman, etc.

Alien Cyborg, Alien Android or Alien Pirate
- Page located here for now. Named cyborg on set's box, android on the official Alien Conqest website and official magazine, Pirate on the set's official shop description. Which one should we use? NovaHawk 00:34, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
Use Alien Cyborg
- Name I found on the box art for 7066 Earth Defense HQ in Australia. -- Sir Penguin! 00:42, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
- name on box

Use Alien Android
Use Alien Pirate

Commander Hypaxxus-8, move back to "Alien Commander"
- I know that one Commander appears in a magazine as Commander Hypaxxus-8, but do we know for a fact that there is only one Alien Commander? I just think it could be potentially like renaming Clone Trooper to 1139. NovaHawk 06:44, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
Keep at Commander Hypaxxus-8
- LEGO Magazine, The official page and more. --User:Crazed Penguin/Sig1/2ish 08:22, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
Move to Alien Commander
- Per above. If there is definitely 100% only one Alien Commander in the Alien Fleet, then I'm happy to remove this vote, but I'd need to know that, and have a reliable source to back it up. NovaHawk 06:44, October 30, 2011 (UTC)
- We don't need that complicated names, when he is referred to simply in other LEGO media, such as catalogues. User:UltrasonicNXT/Signature

Bespin Guard, move to Sergeant Edian
- In reference to a lot of pages I'm going to move around which don't need to go through here as it's clear in the policy as to what should be done, I guess I've got some explaining to do. A lot of pages have been moved around before, eg General Madine to Crix Madine. At the time when they were reverted or put through BP:PNC I wasn't aware that they were named in LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary as I didn't have the book until I picked it up a few weeks ago along with a few others. So I just want to apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused (although if someone just said "it's from the book" I would've believed them :S). Anyway, the guy's clearly identified in the book as Sergeant Edian, so I'm proposing the name change due to the naming conventions stating "If a licensed minifigure has officially been given more than one name by LEGO, then the more correct "in-universe" name should be used." T-16 Pilot, move to Skyhopper Pilot
- I can't ever see this guy being officially named T-16 Pilot anywhere ("Skyhopper Pilot" is from LSW:TVD). Of course, I have been wrong about this before... NovaHawk 00:20, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
