Requests: Chat Moderator - Administrator - Bureaucrat - Patroller

This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

I think I should become a Chat Mod because I have experienced four spammers over the months, and I have been on chat every single day since I joined, except one. 2000 - The futuristic sound of Balloon Music (talk) 08:40, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • What time of day is he usually on? Because he seems to have a lot of edits, but, according to the "Neutral" section, not many people know him. I wish to be nominated because I think I'm ready. I am in my student government which gives me some idea of what is to be done. I have been a chat mod and know the powers and how you need to be responsible with them. I'm also on all the time which is another good quality for a chat mod, because god knows what can happen when spammers come on and chat-mods aren't on. (I've been there) So please consider me for chat mod :) UPDATE: Sure I have done minor things that have been bad but that was the past and this is the future so please consider me.   2. No. He's had some problems with mods in the past and has often bordered on inappropriate subjects. Additionally, he's been incredibly rude to other wikis while trying to keep a nice veneer for us. While that technically doesn't concern us, I really do not like it when people do that. I believe that after a period of time on chat, I'm more experienced and after receiving a message from a user who recommends me to become a chat mod, I thought over it and I believe that I'm ready.
