This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

I have been part of this wiki for a few months now, and I am pretty active. I may only have a few mainspace edits, they are generally pretty good. The only edits that have been reverted are on The Mandarin, but that was sorted out. I have recently discovered chat. And though it benefits as a place to socialize, it also benefits as a tool to help users. If made a chat mod, I would make sure that all users who came there looking for help would get the answers they need, as well as making sure it is a safe place.   1. Look - you're a nice friendly user Brikkyy, but I just have a few things to say: One, your mainspace edits do often need to be reverted, and mainspace has almost nothing to do with chat, two, you still don't really understand the whole of the wiki yet, such as editing the User rights request pages, and leaving "welcome" messages on new user talk pages. You are barely ever on chat, and definitely not ready, nor mature enough for the role, and need a lot more experience and maturity for any kind of right here, and you really do need to read some of the policies here. I would also like you to read some of the chat "rules" here, and read the checklist linked in this page.       • Welcomes are done automatically by a bot ;) And there's nothing wrong with welcoming a new user with the template, provided that they have contributed to the wiki (ie, made at least one edit).   4. Considering your reason for opposition to Nuff's request below, I don't feel like you would make that great of a mod right now. I mean, if you were opposing someone for copying an idea that was hardly original I can't help but wonder what reasons you would use the tools against someone and how little the reason might be.     • That isn't necessarily being hypocritical. He doesn't support rabidly like you might expect someone who said that to do, but he is careful in voting. We have gotten people before who seem to think that as chat mod they have gained diplomatic immunity on chat which is not the case. I think this may or may not be early or late but as a wise man once said "A wizard is never too late or early." But I'm not a wizard so let's put that comment aside. I believe I can be chat mod. I can help others and also have responsibility of the rights such as banning or kicking, but I could leave some of the banning to more CM's that have done it before. But I come to a case as stating on times that chat-mods are not on how can we stop a spammer or sockpuppet? Well you may want someone like me who is frequently on at early hours... I have stopped a sockpuppet (finnfan99/ComicsRus/GravityFallsFTW) I have somewhat come to a conclusion to say I may be mature enough for this role. But I guess the choice is for you, the staff and community to decide. So please be honest!   1. I just can't find myself to support this request, even in the future, while Nuff is a nice user, he still doesn't understand all the rules of chat, not always mature enough, and I don't really think he's been here long enough to judge others on chat - these days chat gets extremely spammed up with chat, with many difficult situations, and I don't think Nuff can handle it. When this request went up, Nuff said on chat "please check chat mod requests" which isn't extremely mature, or such a good idea.   2. Eh, I'm not too hyped about this. I'll be blunt: Nuff is often easily offended, quick to jump to conclusions and a bit sycophantic. He can also be offensive to others, as it wasn't too long ago that he randomly stated "Mlp is dumb" (dumb might not have been the word he used, but it was along those lines) in chat, and then said he was allowed to have his opinion and told us "don't hate". And per the second part of Czech's first sentence. So immaturity, occasional rudeness and a gut feeling of mine prevent me from supporting. From the urgings of several users I have decided to request Chat Mod rights again. I now act more mature and am nicer to new users. (Even Berry said I was doing better.) I have a good understanding of the new chat rules and would use them well. I am on chat quite a bit, (though a little less recently) sometimes when no mods are on. I hope you will consider my request and leave feedback and advice below.
