Requests: Chat Moderator - Administrator - Bureaucrat - Patroller

This is Brickipedia's requests for chat moderator page, on which any user may request chat moderator rights. Chat moderators have the ability to kick and ban users from chat who are being disruptive.

If you are considering nominating yourself for chat moderator, please read through the checklist to make sure that you meet the criteria.

To file a request, place the following code under the "current requests" header, above any existing requests.

Requests made on this page are a vote, meaning that if they achieve at least 80% support then they will be closed as successful. Opposers must provide reasons for opposing. Most requests last for around a week, unless there is clear consensus either way after a short period of time.

If a user has been nominated for chat moderator before, add 2 to the end of the topic header. For users with multiple requests, add the respective number of the request. It is also considered good practice to link to previous requests for rights when nominating a user.

I'm selfnomming myself to become a new chat moderator. I think I'd do good in this position because;

  • I'm trustable. I mean, I make good edits, I do good with Patroller, and I wrote that one good review, and I do it every day. So, what can go wrong with an extra responsibility on my hands?
  • I'm familiar with the rights. When the Yoshi Wiki was really active, I gained sysop and moderated chat, so I got familiar with the chat mod stuff.
  • I'm respected, and respectable. I cannot name one person who regularly goes to this wiki that openly dislikes me. And also, I cannot name one person that I really do not like (other than spammers, they bug me to pieces ._.).
  • I'm a good community member. I'm used to the community, as I've been coming to this chat since December of 2011. I fit in well with the rest of the community, too. I've also never been blocked or banned from chat. I am also a large anti vandal, as I revert spam and vandalism within usually the first couple minutes of it being done.
  • I'm active. Just ask Meiko or CM4S, I've been on chat nearly every day since Brickimedia's closure.

Hi! I think I should be nominated for a few reasons. First, I'm on chat pretty often, so I could moderate a lot. Second, I wouldn't abuse power or anything. Third, I think think I could really help keep chat safe. A few people probably will say I have trolled, and I might have. However I really feel I have changed. I want to be a chatmod (4th time's a charm... Right?) Well this time I really have changed. I helped others with LEGO related questions. I get along with others, I try very hard to not jump to conclusions. And all of us know LMBW invasions are in fact annoying. I've been on the wiki for about a year now and feel I've made some pretty quality edits. (Just over 500) Once Brickimedia was created most of the admins moved and Brickipedia was unprotected. After the recent fall of Brickimedia most of the admins left for good and Brickipedia is more prone to violators. I really want to help to bring Brickipedia back to top shape. Chat Mod will be the first step in stopping these violators and I hope to use these rights to stop as much as I can. TheBakonBitz My Talkpage 22:23, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
