LEGOLAND Minifigure

LEGOLAND Minifigures were the the people used in LEGOLAND (Theme) sets from 1975. With the advent of the new Minifigure in 1978 they were not used as Minifigures anymore. the parts were used for various things until 1985 when production was ceased. Bricklink.com refers to these figures as oldtype.
These type of Minifigures were different to the modern type in several ways. The arms were positioned down the sides of the torso and did not move making the torso piece one single piece. The legs likewise did not move and were a single piece. The heads while the same piece that is used today was not printed with eyes or a mouth. They also could fit a modern LEGO hat or helmet.
