Zane is a white Ninja minifigure android from the Ninjago theme.

Description
Zane appears in six physical variations; as a normal ninja, as a DX Ninja, and as a Microfigure, a ZX ninja, a kendo ninja and a NRG ninja. Zane is not a human, but a nindroid, created by his father.
As a normal ninja, Zane has the classic ninja wrap first used in the Ninja theme from 1998, in white. Zane's face print (,which would normally be covered by the ninja wrap with the exception of his eyes,) is made up of two black eyes with white pupils, a straight line for a mouth, a line below showing a chin, and two eyebrows pointing downwards. His torso, is a white ninja robe with black hands and no back-printing. The printing that is on the front, reveals light grey clothing under his robes. Also on the torso, is a little golden emblem, which is most likely a symbol of Ice in Ninjago, that also appears on Zane's spinner. Zane's legs in this variation are white with light grey knot pattern printed on the hips and legs.
As a DX ninja, Zane uses the same face and headgear as his first variation, but utilizes a special torso and legs combination. Zane's DX torso features printing on both the front and back; on the front, a golden depiction of the Ice Dragon. On the back, the name Zane and the ice symbol are printed on in gold. On the legs, a different knot tied to his left is printed. Also on the legs, is a continuation of the Ice Dragon design, here the tail is printed.
Zane as a microfigure is a basically Zane as a normal ninja in a smaller scale.
In Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Zane appeared as both a normal ninja and a DX ninja, however his facial expressions were changed to make him seem more friendly. He was also given the same hair as Agent Swipe (, from the Agents theme,) when he removed his wrap. Also in the movie, before he became a ninja, he was shown with the same face and hair piece as well as simple black and white clothing.
In 2012, Zane appears as a ZX ninja. As a ZX ninja, his cowl has a golden design which resembles the top of the ice dragon design. He still wears mostly white, but there he wears golden shoulder armour, which can hold two katanas in the back. Zane's face is the same as always, but his torso has been updated with the under-robes being white, instead of grey, and having tan embrodering. On the back is the ice dragon symbol, which is absent from the front. Zane's torso pattern continues onto his legs. he will have a printed cloth, shoulder armour, and new printing for the torso and legs.
As a Kendo Ninja, also in 2012, he has a new mask with a grill slightly showing his face. He also has the Samurai Warrior's armour on top of his original ninja outfit.
Zane's preferred weapons are the Shurikens of Ice and a golden flail.
Background
In the LEGO Ninjago: The Movie, Zane was shown to be discovered by Sensei Wu while he was testing himself. He was then brought to Sensei Wu's monastery to train in the ways of Spinjitzu. He trained alongside fellow students Jay and Cole. The three later attacked another that they found in the monastery. After a fight started between the four, Wu breaks it up and introduces Kai as his fourth student. Wu then announced to the four ninjas that the search for The Four Golden Weapons was to begin.
At the Caves of Despair, location of the Scythe of Quakes, after the scythe was recovered by the ninjas, they were attacked by an army of Skulkins led by Samukai, the king of the underworld. Jay noticed the enemies to be just like the training course at the monastery, and after going through the motions Wu taught him, he summoned a tornado of energy corresponding with his element. In other words: he performed spinjitzu. Zane and the others followed. Samukai and his legion retreated, as a dragon protecting the Scythe appeared behind the ninja. In desperation, Kai used the scythe, despite Wu's instruction not to use the weapon's power, as no mortal could handle it. A rift appeared in the cave ceiling, and the ninja manage to escape.
As the ninja head to the Shurikens of Ice, Wu teaches them the most powerful move in spinjitzu: the Tornado of Creation. The boat arrived, crashing into the island, and the ninjas entered the frozen plains. The three yet again escaped another dragon, as Zane was frozen upon contact with the weapons, and the others used him as a snowboard, with the weapons being in their possession.
Next, At the Floating Ruins, they climbed a giant chain to the nunchucks of lightning, jumping down to escape the Lightning Dragon. The four use special inventions made by Jay, backpacks that spawn wings. The ninjas are at such a high altitude that they are able to fly to all the way to the Forest of Tranquility, the location of the Sword of Fire.
The group then go to sleep in the forest. Kai leaves while the others are asleep as he is under the impression that his kidnapped sister, Nya is in the forest. Wu later leaves to follow Kai, while Zane, Jay, and Cole are still asleep. Samukai and the army of Skulkins then arrive, steal three of the golden weapons, and tie the remaining members of the group to a tree. Jay grabs General Nuckal's sword and cuts the rope while the skullkins are not looking. The three ninjas then try to chase the Skulkins in their vehicles, but they escape to the Underworld. The ninjas then go to the Fire Temple where Zane senses the location of the Sword of Fire. Kai and Nya then appear with the fire dragon. Zane then learns of the sacrifice that Wu made to save Kai and Nya.
The ninjas retrieve their elemental dragons and traveled to the underworld. While in the underworld, Zane battles the Skulkins and giant spiders. He witnesses Samukai defeat Sensei Wu in battle and take the sword of fire from him. Samukai was then seemingly destroyed, but the combined power of the weapons allowed Lord Garmadon, Wu's evil brother, to escape from the underworld. Zane then traveled to Kai and Nya's village where he and the other ninjas were welcomed as heroes.
In the Spinjitzu Smash online game, Zane appeared in only his respective campaign. In Zane's campaign, he and Jay embarked on a quest to retrieve the Shurikens of Ice.
Also, in the game Smash Creations, Zane says that he fights for bacon before charging with his fellow ninja to save Nya, implying that he may have a small sense of humor.
In LEGO Ninjago: Rise of the Snakes, he follows the other ninjas to Jamanakai Village to investigate the report of Lord Garmadon's return. After finding Lloyd Garmadon, Kai thinks the serpintine are a fairy tale since Lloyd said he would release them if he did not get candy when Zane says they are real and Kai should not joke about them.A bag falls off the Fire Dragon when the ninja get back to the monastary and a scroll falls out of it,Zane then picks it up and reads it he then interprets that one of them would become The Green Ninja. On returning to the monastery, Zane faces off against Cole to see who was the Green Ninja, and lost when Cole tripped him with his weapon. After returning to Jamanakai village, they faced off against the Serpentine. Zane tripped Lloyd with the Shurikins of ice and caused him to retreat. Returning, they began to work on unlocking their golden weapons. In the second episode of Rise of the Snakes,Zane is found to be an orphan when the other ninja get mail, the episode also shows that he does have a sense of humor, but sometimes at the wrong things so the others come to think he is weird. Later, when he cooks food for the ninjas, and comes out wearing a pink apron, the others laugh at him because he "took steps to ensure that he was clean." This spawned a food fight, making Zane feel bad. After getting embaresed at dinner, he goes outside and sees a falcon try to talk to him. He followed the falcon to find where Lloyd Garmadon had begun to build his fortress. The next day, he brought the other ninjas to the fortress, telling them he found the fortress by "following a bird". The ninja then attacked and a battle broke out. During the battle, Cole, who had been previously hypnotized, was pitched against the ninjas as a distraction. Zane was the one who suggested Jay try to shock him with lightning. After Sensei Wu un-hypnotized Cole, the ninjas returned to see their monastry in flames. When Zane suggested this was a teaching moment, the other ninjas turned on him. When they tried to apologize, he had already flown off on his dragon. The other ninja,Sensi Wu and Nya were stranded without a home,when he returned and said that he hadn't left because of them, he had simply seen the falcon again and he showed them the ship Destiny's Bounty and it became the ninjas new home.Kai, Cole,Jay and Nya then race into the ship at the smell of pie.Sensi Wu and Zane stayed behind for a moment to talk, Sensei said "there's something special about you Zane" and Zane asked if he would become the green ninja, but Sensei Wu told him it was too early to tell. In the episode "Tick Tock", he realized he was a robot, or Nindroid, as Jay referred.

- In the Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (TV series) episode "Tick Tock", Zane not only unlocks his true potential, but also figures out that he is, in fact, an android (referred to as a "Nindroid" by Jay]]) and that the reason he has no sense of humor or any memory of his creator is that both his humor switch and his memory switch had been turned off by his creator before he passed away.
