6172 Zoo Transporter is a 2012 DUPLO set. It contains 8 pieces, including a DUPLO Figure and a lion.
Description[edit | edit source]
The set includes one model, that of a zoo transportation truck. The truck has six black wheels; four in the back and two in the front. They connect onto a one-piece black chassis, which has several molded truck details, such as gas tanks, bumpers, and over-wheel covers. In the front, on top of the chassis, is molded a large, white cab, which is also the same piece as the chassis. The cab features space for a DUPLO figure to be placed inside, which can be accessed via a large gap in the roof of the cab. Headlights and a curving engine hood is featured on the front of non-opening doors. As well, a pair of exhaust stacks are located behind the cab. In the rear of the chassis is located a large, green, separate-piece cargo area. Inside this a lion, which is included with the set, may be placed.
The lion is molded out of yellowish-orange plastic, and featured a molded mane, tail, legs, and head. The main and tip of the tail contains brown printing, suggesting different-coloured fur. The lion's face contains printing detailing elements such as a black nose and eyes.
Also included in the set is a single DUPLO figure, that of a zookeeper. He wears tan cargo pants, a green shirt, and a red cap. His shirt contains printing detailing pockets, buttons, a folded-back collar, and a white undershirt. Also featured is yellow printing reading "ZOO". His face, as well, contains printing suggesting elements such as a smiling mouth, with a chin underneath, wide blue eyes, and eyebrows. A molded nose is prevalent in the centre of his face.
Included are also a small number of assorted DUPLO pieces, used as hay, a training block, and grass.
