The 6965 Mini TIE Interceptor is a Star Wars mini model of a TIE Interceptor released in 2004.

Description

The set is made up of black pieces. In the middle of the set is a 1x1 brick with 4 studs on all of its sides. The front side has a transparent dish, while the back has a sand blue dish. The set has 4 wings, two on the top, and two upside-down on the bottom, all with 1x2 black tiles on them. In the middle of the wings on both sides are two dark stone grey sticks, representing the guns.

Background

TIE Interceptors were extremely fast starfighters used by the Galactic Empire in Episode V and Episode VI. The TIE Interceptors were designed as space-superiority starfighters to engage and destroy enemy starfighters quickly. They are more expensive than the standard TIE Fighter, and are equipped with four SFS L-s9.3 wingtip-mounted laser cannons, faster engines, and increased maneuverability.

• The TIE Interceptor is an exclusive for certain retailers, including the Japanese candy company Kabaya. X-wing (set 6963 X-Wing Fighter) and Slave I (6964 Mini Boba Fett's Slave I) are also Kabaya exclusives.
