Idle Hands is claiming to know the lineup for DC Super Heroes in the winter wave. There will be four sets, including 76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro, which we already know of. The others include:

  • 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas
  • 76027 Black Manta Deep Sea Strike
  • 76028 Darkseid Invasion

If this list is true, that means that LEGO and/or Warner Bros. are at last listening to fans who decry another wave of "Batman and his Super Friends". As these are rumors, please do not create pages yet and take them with a grain of salt. Though it is worth noting that yesterday screenshots of Gorilla Grodd and Black Manta from the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham were released. Minifigures from upcoming sets have been shown through TT Games before, such as with Manta's nemesis Aquaman. However, with a roster of over 150 characters, most of the minifigures will likely never be produced as they appear in the game.

There's also a rumour on Brickset for a 76029 Brainiac Attack, which is "a tentacled UFO-looking ship with Superman, Brainiac, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter minifigures" (see comments section on the Brickset article). Definitely doesn't seem to be as reliable to me as the others, but the user who posted it has apparently been on Brickset since December 2010, and it does sound very much like a LEGO set name :S

Finally, DC is branching out from that old Batman!

These sound extremely promising, especially since DC might finally be getting Big-Figs! (Probably of Gorilla Grodd and or Darkseid). However, did anyone notice that set 76024 is missing? Maybe this will be a $13 set with Brainiac?

I have mixed feelings: While I'm psyched we're getting a full JL, I was hoping we'd get just a few more Batman villains before they completely scrapped the "Batman and Friends" thing (I love the JL but Batman will always be my favorite) I hoped we'd get Killer Croc, Clayface, and maybe Ra's and the Mad Hatter if they were feeling generous.

(Although, I could see them throwing Croc into the Black Manta set)

I actually had my doubts on this list until I saw "Gorilla Grodd goes Bananas." After "Hulk Lab Smash," there is no way this is fake. :D

Also, I would expect Brainiac as he is kind of the main bad guy (unless they pull a Mandarin twist). Could there be a $10 set with him? (I find it unlikely he would be in it) The only thing I could see them doing is having him play second fiddle to Darkseid, and even if Darkseid is like the ultimate DC villain, if this wave is based on the game it seems unlikely. There could also be a store exclusive, but we haven't seen that in the SH line for years.

I don't disagree and I would like to see those characters (aside from Hatter, who I never cared for, but he would be better than another repeat) but the thing is that Batman was pretty much taking up the entire theme for three years aside from a few lackluster tie-ins for Man of Steel. I think tossing things up a bit is good, and I am sure that Batman will still get sets, but it is nice that the JLA will have enemies now aside from Lex, Zod, and street-levelers.

It is weird that Brainiac doesn't seem to be here. Maybe there will be another wave with him later in the year though. Or these could be fake, it's hard to say.

Berry, I talked to the owner of the website ad he confirmed that he had source that couldn't be named for obvious reasons and the stuff he posted is legit, he only ever posts things that are legit, he one who doesn't believe in posting rumors, but if he doeshe makes sure to put it in the title.

Now, Brainac could be in the set allied with Darkseid. I think Bats, Supes, WW or Cyborg vs Darkseid and Brainac

Yeah, I guess it's more of a complaint on this year's sets, if we'd gotten one or two of those in the Steamroller and maybe Ra's in the Tumbler, I would be fully ready to move on.

But like I said, they could really have Croc in the Black Manta set, which I am fairly confident is some kind of water battle.

It does say "Deep Sea Strike," so that would make sense. :P

The problem with Croc is that he would probably be a big fig, and it already seems like we are at least getting one, possibly two, with Grodd and Darkseid.

I guess you are right, even though I'd personally want him as a minifigure. You never know, they may have a minifigure version in the game

This probably means retreads for Flash and Aquaman, but oh well. At least there are new villains, and hopefully some decent builds. :P There is a rumor flying around that Wonder Woman's invisible jet will be in a set.

We did get WW's jet in 6862 though. You just can't see it. :P

And I doubt it will be entirely transparent, since that actually requires new molds for identical parts. The sketch model still looked pretty good though.

Invisible jet? I can barely keep track of myself, let alone a breakable invisible item.

well we still need New 52 Bats, Supes, and WW so I don't doubt it. apparently based on a reliable source from EB we are going to get WW's invisible jet and also have seen an Ant-Man set and a bionicle like Hulkbuster armour that can fit Iron Man.

Also why cant we make pages? We've made pages based on flimsier evidence before and brickset has reported on it, something HUW would never do unless he believed it too.

Ant-Man getting one set sounds likely - its not like to get a full range like GoTG, since it sounds less blockbustery, and even Iron Man 3 and Cap America 2 only got a couple (I think, I don't keep track of these things), and I don't think Thor 2 even got one?

(Huw didn't add the sets to his database either though. And honestly, though I believe these, they are about as flimsy as they come while still having a possibility of being real.)

I know it's asking for a lot to ask for the Manta set to be Young Justice-related, but pretty please LEGO.
