An image of a BIONICLE thumbnail has been found on the LEGO server by BZPower. The image, which can be found here, seems to confirm that BIONICLE will be back next year.

In my opinion, this isn't the mask of creation. My main reason: the mask from the other leak matches the description for the mask of creation exactly. I personally think that this is a new form of the Ignika, considering it's similarities to its original version before it was fused to Vezon.

I personally think that this matches the Mask of Creation description a bit better than the preliminary mask does. It dhas what looks like writing and regal aspects which could be representative of various cultures. Things like that could hardly be interpreted from the other one, except for what vaguely looked like that figure in the Mask of Life, though none of that necessarily matters if it's a reboot and they could redesign it on a whim.

It does bear a resemblance to the preliminary Ignika though (which was a cool design), but I think I would be a bit disappointed if they redesigned such an iconic element so drastically, sort of like the classic Hau versus the Mistika one.

Was there really any doubt?

The mask looks pretty interesting, and for me seems more legitimate as a Mask of Creation than the previous "main mask" in the past leak.

I don't mind the mask itself, I'm curious to see what makes it so important.

It may just be the hype, once it sinks in it might not be as good.

I mostly like it, but it looks a bit top-heavy. I think it'll really kind of depend on what the rest of the figure(s) it's placed on look like, and if they compliment it well.

This is exciting news all around. If anyone had any doubts before, hopefully now they are fully on board the hype train.

I'm wondering, though; is that really the Kanohi Mask of Creation? I know it wasn't described exactly like that appearance in the old canon, but if this is a reboot I would expect it to be an important enough mask to include on the product page image. Therefore, it could be a new Mask of Creation, or something as important as the Ignika. However, it's definitely not the mask present on that leaked display from a month or so ago. Really, it could be anything. However, as TTV said in their video, if this IS the mask from the display, both it and all of the sets we've seen must have changed a lot in the prototype stage. I am curious to see...

Honestly, that mask is pretty ugly. It's like Breez's with some melted Stonehenge replica on top. At least it doesn't look like the Mask of Life, I got really tired of it's "Chase me!" game.

Interestingly though, it does seem to fit the description of the Mask of Creation, so if it is based on anything from the old canon (erm, I guess there isn't a "new" one, at least not yet) it could be that, which would be pretty neat. I wish that Artahka and Karzahni were explored more because as characters they dealt with themes of building and construction which were common for LEGO, but interjected into the BIONICLE universe nicely (those mutilated Matoran from 2006 were fun :P ).
