Tomorrow (February 16) marks the beginning of the American International Toy Fair in New York. The New York Toy Fair is traditionally the one where we get the first photos of a wide variety of upcoming sets, so a wide range of pictures and information will be coming in. Our administrators will be updating the first post on this forum as news comes in, so stay tuned.
Also tonight, beginning at 6:00PM New York time, the 14th Annual Toy of the Year Awards will be given out. The LEGO Group managed to take out four of the awards last year, including the top prize of "Toy of the Year" which was won by Friends. This year, LEGO is nominated in five categories:
- Activity Toy of the Year: Minecraft
- Boy Toy of the Year: Legends of Chima
- E-connected Toy of the Year: 31313 Mindstorms EV3
- Educational Toy of the Year: 31313 Mindstorms EV3
- Girl Toy of the Year: Friends 41005 Heartlake High
Results will be posted as soon as we know them.
