Here's a few highlights from the news in the last few days:

First Ferris Wheel image

The first image of 10247 Ferris Wheel.

The first image of the upcoming set 10247 Ferris Wheel has been found. The set will be released in May.

Flatiron Building now out

The Architecture set 21023 Flatiron Building has been released recently, you can read a review at Brickset here.

Small YELLOW reaches 10,000 supporters

With just five days remaining, the Small YELLOW project by Nathan Sawaya has reached 10,000 supporters and will be currently one of twelve projects to be a part of the First 2015 Review. Also, there are currently only three days left before a ton of projects are removed from LEGO Ideas as it's been nearly been one year since the expiry date for projects was introduced. So if you want to vote for a project, now would be the time to do so.

LEGO Friends book mini-doll revealed

Brickset has exclusively revealed the mini-doll figure that will come with the upcoming book, LEGO Friends The Adventure Guide - it's a variant of Kate in a blue and white outfit. In other book news, LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded has starting hitting stores in some areas, but won't be officially released until April 28 in the US and May 1 in the UK.

That Ferris wheel looks quite nice. What I find most interesting is the minifigs seem to be using Juniors torsos and faces. Though I don't understand why City/Creator/Juniors rarely introduce new hair colours. :/

It took Kate 4 variants to put on some clothes. I'm annoyed we can't get new printing or at least new colorings for book mini-dolls.

The new ferris wheel looks a lot better than the old one (minifig scale!!!!!).

I wonder if it'll have power functions.....

I agree, and I would assume it would be PF. Otherwise for whatever the inflated price is, you're just getting a sitting wheel, and I think even LEGO knows nobody will necessarily pay for that. :P
