Cyborg (a.k.a. Victor Stone) is a Super Heroes minifigure who appears in various media featuring other DC Universe characters, including video games and animated movies. He was physically released in 2015.

Description[edit | edit source]

Cyborg has a black torso, silver arms, black hands, black hips, and grey legs. His torso, hips, and legs are printed with details depicting his armoured metallic suit and plating. The suit features a black lower layer, which can be seen on the inside sides of the legs and the sides of the torso, and a silver primary layer. On the legs, the armour printing extends down to the feet. Along Cyborg's armour printing are multiple black and light grey lines, which represent the layering of the armour in some areas, and technological details in others. Cyborg has a faceplate piece with a red eye and chin guard moulded on. Half of the piece features short black hair which runs parallel to his silver forehead. A red circle marks the center of his hairline. The organic part of Cyborg's head which is not covered has dark skin and his organic face, only about half of which is visible. Cyborg also carries a light grey stud-shooter, which can fire a transparent red stud.

Other Media[edit | edit source]

In his LEGO Batman 2 design, Cyborg has a faceplate piece with a red eye and chin guard moulded on. Half of the piece features short black hair which runs parallel to his silver forehead. A red circle marks the center of his hairline. The organic part of Cyborg's head which is not covered has dark skin and a thin face, only about half of which is visible. Most of his body is covered in different shades of silver armour and plating. Another red circle makes the center of his chest and another is positioned in the middle of a belt. Cyborg's printing continues onto his arms, which also show a bit of skin, backside, and legs to further depict robotic implants. This appearance resembles Cyborg in The New 52 most closely. A largely similar design is used in LEGO Batman: The Movie, but a silver band perpendicular to the faceplate runs around Cyborg's forehead.

On portable versions of the same game, a variation featuring a more traditional take on Cyborg's design is playable. It uses the same head and faceplate piece, but there is much more skin showing on the body. The silver part of the body is more similar to a formfitting leotard or one-piece woman's swimsuit in shape with an exposed chest. A utility belt, also with a red circle at the center, runs above his waist. Cyborg's arms and legs also show considerably more skin than his other design, but they still do include wires and other implants.

Cyborg will be redesigned for LEGO Batman 3, where he is also based on The New 52. His faceplate is much more angular than before and his hair is more accurate to the source material, featuring short curls instead of slicked back hair. The chin guard features on both sides of his head with a bulky portion appearing on the side which was once free. The torso includes less silver, opting for black rather than the darker shade used previously. Though still depicting a segmented form, the lines are also noticeably more angular, even on the belt. The red circle on his chest has been upgraded into a logo featuring a C with a cogwheel, the center of which is a red circle, engraved inside. Although not very dissimilar, Cyborg's legs feature more colours than previously, giving different parts more distinction. His arms have been stripped of their printing and his hands are now black.

As a playable character in LEGO Batman 2, Cyborg has a number of abilities. He is able to interact with magnetic blue objects, shoot lasers from his artificial eye to destroy golden LEGO objects, and has super strength. On consoles, he is unlocked for free-play after the level "Tower Defiance" is completed and is also playable in the story-mode of "Heroes Unite". On the portable versions of the game, Cyborg is a playable character in Story Mode of the level "Wayne Industries". His minikit can be found on the same level, and he costs 100,000 studs.

In LEGO Batman 3, not only will Cyborg's appearance change, but also his abilities. He will be able to take advantage of eight different super suits, each granting him different abilities. These include the giant suit, which allows him to transform into a big figure, a stealth suit which disguises him as a washing machine, a magnetic suit, and a demolition suit with unknown powers. In his regular form, Cyborg is once again capable of firing a laser which destroys golden LEGO objects.

Background[edit | edit source]

Half of Victor Stone's body was destroyed in a tragic accident. He was saved through experimental technology created by his father Silas Stone, and his body parts were replaced with high-tech gadgets and weaponry. To have Vic around people who may understand his condition, Silas asked the Justice League to accept Vic among them as Cyborg.

Cyborg has been a member of both the Teen Titans and the Justice League.

In the video games[edit | edit source]

Cyborg is one of the the Justice League members who Martian Manhunter sends to Gotham City when The Joker and Lex Luthor attack Wayne Tower with their Kryptonite powered mech. Cyborg, Batman, Robin, and Green Lantern enter through the bottom of the destroyed tower while Superman and Wonder Woman hold it in place. When Green Lantern uses a train construct to knock the robot off of the building, Cyborg and the others dive off the edge after it and fight with The Joker. When the robot iss defeated, Green Lantern creates an elevator and lowers the heroes unable to fly to safety. Green Lantern and The Flash then repair the tower, relieving Superman and Wonder Woman. Alongside Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Martian Manhunter (from the Watchtower), Cyborg helps to destroy what is left of the robot and then in defeating Joker and Lex.

Cyborg is later one of the League members on duty when the Watchtower is hijacked by the Legion of Doom.

Video games[edit | edit source]

With the exception of the portable version appearing in LEGO Batman 2 which is based off of Cyborg's classic design used most prominently since the character's introduction, the other variants are different takes on Cyborg's appearance in the New 52 reboot of the DC Universe which features Cyborg with more robotic parts.
