The Golden Ultra Dragon is a dragon born from the destruction of the Four Golden Weapons and the subsequent release of the elemental powers of Fire, Earth, Ice, and Lightning.
Background
In "Roots", Wu urges the Ninja to destroy the Golden Weapons in order to unleash their powers, seeking to prevent the Overlord from gaining control over the powers of Creation. Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay reluctantly follow his instructions unleashing a blast of energy that counters one fired by the Crystal King's temple. Their elemental powers are released from both the weapons and the Ninja, and then combine to form the dragon. The dragon flies up towards the floating temple and catches Lloyd as he is falling from the structure.
Carrying Lloyd back up to the temple, the dragon engages the Overlord in a fierce battle, unleashing all four Elemental powers against the embodiment of evil. The Overlord fights back fiercely but is ultimately overcome and has his latest body shattered; the temple soon explodes as well. Fortunately, the Golden Ultra Dragon carries Lloyd, Garmadon, and a penitent Harumi down to Ninjago City. There it greets the Ninja who created it before disappearing, though Wu expresses the hope that the elemental powers will eventually return.
