Review:5883 Tower Takedown/Stormbringer Empire791

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki

I got this set as a late Christmas present last summer but haven't had much time to review it until now.

In general, the set is quite good for $20. The set includes a tower that is randomly placed in a river, I have no idea why. Maybe flying dinosaurs are attracted to bright yellow metal things. Which are connected to rocks and have random leaves sticking out of it. Anyway the tower has a little Exo-Force upper robot arm, on which a stick and a fish are connected. Because dinosaurs always go for fish on sticks. On top of the tower is a giant net launcher that launches half-folded nets. Although, if you launch the net right, you can get a good 18 Inches (roughly 45 Centimeters). The tower also features a radar dish, a ladder, a dock with a small speedboat, and a control panel to control...stuff. Maybe it controls the little stick with a fish. How exiting.

"Is it hot out, or is it just me?" "No, It's just you"

Minifigs[edit | edit source]

The only minifig included in the set is some sweaty guy. Yep. Thats it. Maybe he should take that really heavy jacket and jump in the river he's patrolling to cool off.

The Dino[edit | edit source]

The dino included in the set is a red/brown "Pteranodon", which is apparently related to the Pterodactyl. Truthfully, I have nothing bad to say about it at all, and have to say that this is probably the best Pteranodon LEGO has ever made, compared to the previous versions. The Pteranodon is made up of 5 parts, almost all of them rubbery. The dino's eyes are supposed to glow too, but I couldn't get to glow even the slightest. However, I do have something to day that has to do with the dinosaurs. I would appreciate a new type of dinosaur, and have really been anticipating something like a Plesiosaurus, or other type of aquatic dinosaur. An aquatic dinosaur would be especially nice in this set. Another dinosaur that I would like LEGO to make is a new Stegosaurus, as there is only one that appeared in Dino Island. That would be nice.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Well, that about wraps this review up. All in all, I'd say that this is a pretty good set, and worth the money if you're into dino-related themes. Please check out my corresponding Dino review, Review:5884 Raptor Chase.
