Sten Daugaard (Born 1958) is the CFO of The LEGO Group since 2008.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Mr. Daugaard serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board of LEGO A/S. Mr. Daugaard served as a Member of Management Board and the Chief Financial Officer of SGL Carbon SE (formerly, Sgl Carbon Aktiengesellschaft) from January 1, 2005 to June 30, 2008. He has a strong background in corporate finance as well as significant industrial experience in both global and Central Western European operations. He served as Executive Vice President of Finance at SGL Carbon SE from January 1, 2004 to December 2004. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of SGL Group. Prior to joining the SGL Group, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of LTU Group Holding and LTU International Airways from 2000 to 2003. In 1977, Mr. Daugaard joined Den Danske Bank Kopenhagen and held various positions in Kopenhagen and in the USA until 1989, last as Head of Foreign Currency Financing Department and Treasury. He served as the Head of the Foreign Department at Nykredit from 1986 to 1988 and Management Board Member of Frankfurter Bodenkreditbank from 1989 to 1992. He served as Corporate Treasurer of SAirGroup from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Daugaard served as the Finance Director and European Treasurer at ITT Corporation, ITT Industry Europe and ITT Automotive from 1992 to 1997. He serves as the Chairman of SGL Carbon Luxemburg S.A., Luxembourg and SGL Carbon GmbH, Meitingen. He served as Director of Pandora A/S since 2010. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of LEGO System A/S. People
