8972 Atakus is a BIONICLE set released in January 2009.
Description
Atakus' primary colours are grey and black. His helmet has a long spike at the end with holes going through to his red transparent head. He carries two glow-in-the-dark swords.

A servant of the evil Skrall, Atakus uses his twin swords to defend the city of Roxtus against any who might dare come near. Strong and fast, few can withstand more than one blow from his glow in the dark blades!

- Send him into battle with his allied Glatorian #8978 Skrall!
- Measures 5 feet (12 centimeters) tall!

- Bone Hunters appear in the film BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn that look exactly like Atakus. They have the same helmet, body and weapons.
