Background
In the TV series, he has so far appeared in the fifth episode, "Can of Worms", when he and his tribe were freed from their tomb by Pythor and joined forces with him and the other uniting tribes. After hearing word the ninja were searching for the last two tombs, the Venomari and Constrictai staged an ambush on Kai, Jay and later Cole and Zane, nearly killing them in a venomous lake of acid (the toxic bogs). However, Samurai X arrived and scared away the Serpentine, then knocked them out with sleep gas, allowing Sensei to save them. Later, Acidicus was seen along with the other tribe leaders underground Ninjago City, where Pythor was attempting to unite them all. Luckily, the ninja foiled the plan by pitting the tribes against each other with rumors, forcing the tribes to fight. He also appeared in the sixth episode "Snake King", when Pythor P. Chumsworth was fighting all of the other generals for their staffs. Pythor won by playing the sacred flute he stole in "Can of Worms", claiming that he would lead the Serpentine into unleashing The Great Devourer, an unkillable beast that would consume all of Ninjago.

Acidicus is as dangerous as the toxic bogs the Venomari call their home. Victims who have been hit by the Venomari venom hallucinate and sometimes see their worst fears materialize before them.
General Acidius is the brains of the otherwise intelligently challenged Venomari. He has cleverly constructed vials the Venomari can use for carrying extra venom in their combat gear, so they never, ever run out of venom in battle. He strongly supports Pythor’s efforts to unite the tribes and rule the world.
Notes
- On the official Ninjago website Acidicus has a Hypnobrai fang blade instead of the Venomari Fangblade because he wields it in his only set appearence, set 9450 Epic Dragon Battle.
- He has the same head as Lizaru, but with white spikes on his head.
- He appears on the card "Lazy Ninja" along with Skales.
- He is known as the "Venomari General" in Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu and is voiced by Paul Dobson who also does the voices for Falcon, Mezmo, Rattla and Sensei Wu.
- He strongly supports Pythor's plan to release the The Great Devourer according to his bio and is curious to see what happens when it is released.
- Acidicus stated, "I fought hard for this staff, and will not give it up easily." This means that Acidicus fought a previous Venomari General.
- In episode 7, he was hit behind the head by Skalidor when he took his staff back. This resulted in a slap fight, showing the two have a relationship similar to Kruncha and Nuckal. However their fight resulted in Pythor's discovery of how to reveal the map when the anti-venom in the staffs leaked.
- He has a a scar behind his back left eye, thus his making his left pair smaller than the right. [The right pair of Acidicus' eyes are the same as Lizaru's left eyes.]
- Though he has a staff in the show, no Ninjago set comes with Acidcus with the staff (the only way to get the staff is in 9440 Venomari Shrine).
- In Episode 11, he doubts if The Great Devourer even exists.
