Should we switch our article feedback extension to a newer (better) version? If you don't know our current extension, click random page and it will show up. The new version can be found here, with further information here. As a Wikipedia editor myself, I find the Central Feedback Special Page especially useful. There's a great 4 minute demonstration video of the newer version here that I recommend you look at first before posting an opinion in this forum. It highlights all of the extension's features, so you get to see what it's like without having to try it on Wikipedia. --ToaMeiko (talk) 02:17, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

  • I read about this a while ago, and I wasn't sure which one I thought would be better. Until I watched that video. It looks to be an extremely useful tool, I think we should get it as soon as possible. The only slight reservation I have is that the forums were hit by a heap of spambots, which is why they are now restricted to registered editors- would that amount of spam happen for this as well? • Probably not. I was actually shocked to see how spambots hit the forums. There is no API for the WikiForum, so I'm confused as to how it was done. --ToaMeiko (talk) 03:00, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
  • I think I'm supportive of this update, the only hesitation I have is that most people a lot more likely to rate something with stars than they are to leave a comment. The comments are substantially more helpful, yes, but we would get more feedback by just having the older extension. That being said, I still think the newer one would be more beneficial.
