Gorbag, orc captain of Cirith Ungol, is a minifigure who appears in LEGO The Lord of the Rings: The Video Game.

Background

Gorbag was the captain of Minas Morgul as well as a leader of the orcs of Cirith Ungol. After Frodo Baggins was stung by Shelob, a band of orcs led by Gorbag and Shagrat found him. After examining him, Gorbag realized that he was not dead and ordered them to take him back to Cirith Ungol. There, they went through his belongings. After discovering Frodo's Mithril armor, they began to argue against each other over who would get it. This led to a fight in which most of the orcs of Cirith Ungol fought and killed each other. However, there were still a few of them left by the end of the battle. Gorbag was among these and he was still up in the top room of the tower, about to torture Frodo. In The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King film, Samwise Gamgee Stabbed him from behind, killing him. In the video game, he is shown being hit on the back of the head with a frying pan by Sam and nearly falling down the trapdoor, but keeping his balance using his arms and legs barely holding onto the edges of the door entrance.

Appearances

Notes

  • The only way in which he is distinctive is by his dialogue and role that he was given based on a Lord of the Rings character of the same name in the film, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Otherwise, he looks just like a regular Mordor Orc. Due to this, he is not playable.
