[List of appearances]

The Parrot is an animal mould introduced in 2012 for the Friends theme.

Description

The Parrot is a single-stud mould depicting the bird in sitting position with folded wings and opened beak. The three talons of each foot are pointing frontwards. The creature’s tail is short and spread flat like a fan, unlike the System parrot, which has a drooping tail. The Parrot has also some short plumes protruding from the back of its head. It has printed black eyes with long eyelashes. In the little hole on the top of the creature’s head some accessories can be inserted.

Variations

The parrot mould appears in two variations: orange with red beak and lime green with orange beak. The first one is used in four sets so far, the second one is exclusive to 41024 Parrot's Perch – a set from Friends Animals series 3.

Notes

  • Only the lime green creature from 41024 Parrot's Pearch is clearly described as a ‘parrot’. The Goldie’s species is not stated, the identical bird included in 850581 Brick Calendar is defined in the LEGO.com description as a ‘baby chick’ and the Stephanie’s flying companion in 3063 Heartlake Flying Club is simply called ‘bird’.
  • In the Friends theme set descriptions there is only one named parrot - Goldie. However the collectible animals have no specific names stated in their bios, there are some clues about the identity of the lime Parrot revealed in the quizz available on friends.lego.com, where the creature is called Kiki[1]. The same name appears in the French set description.
