Mad-Eye Moody was a former Auror, member of the Order of the Phoenix, and was meant to be a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher during Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts. However, the teacher was actually Barty Crouch Junior, who had captured Moody and used Polyjuice Potion to impersonate him. The real Mad-Eye Moody was locked inside an enchanted chest. His peg leg replaces his missing right leg. Moody and several other members of the Order of the Phoenix smuggled Harry out of Number 4 Privet Drive several times, the last being in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where he is killed while en route to a safe house for Harry. His glass eye was recovered and used by Professor Umbridge at the Ministry of Magic to spy on her employees.
Notes
- His real name is Alastor Moody.
- His impostor, Barty Crouch Jr., was smuggled out of Azkaban, and told by Lord Voldemort to impersonate him.
- In the video game, Dumbledore sends a spell that blasts Moody backwards and his head is knocked off (and Barty Crouch's head then appears) instead of Moody running out of Polyjuice Potion and then transforming back into Crouch.
- In the DS version of the game, his pegleg is gone and is replaced by a one gray, normal leg.
- In the film, He has a grey hair and In the video game, He has a blonde hair.
Goofs
- In the book and movie, Professor Moody has a peg leg on the left side. However, his Lego version has the peg leg on his right side. This may be because all peg-legged minifigures had their peg legs on the right side and LEGO could not change it specifically for Moody.
