Rex Racer, aka Racer X is Speed Racer's older brother. During one particularly rough race, his car exploded in a cave and he was assumed dead. In fact, Rex just placed a bomb on his car and ran for it. He got plastic surgery and took on the identity of Racer X. He once raced with Taejo Togokhan and Speed Racer on the Togokhan Team.
