"The Legend of Chima" is the first episode of Legends of Chima: The Animated Series.

Summary
This episode starts with Eris being captured by Cragger's forces. The image then cuts Laval looking for his harness. He then goes to the CHI temple to receive his first taste of Chi. However, right when he is about to put it in his harness, the Crocodile forces attack. A disguised Cragger steals Lavals Chi, which was knocked out of his hands during the attack, along with chi from the pool. Laval chases Cragger on his Speedor, where it leads to a showdown. Laval manages to defeat Cragger, but before he strikes the killing blow, he recognizes Cragger.
The show then goes back in time to the time when Cragger and Laval were still friends and were both truly happy. Cragger persuades Laval to sneak into the area with the chi pool. Cragger then takes some of the Chi, even though Laval warns him. Cragger goes completely berzerk, even attacking Laval. Cragger is stopped by a blast from the Lion King, who remarks that he'll have to tell Cragger's parents. The parents argue over who is guilty, which leaves some bad blood between them. Worriz sneaks in with Cragger, but they are caught, with Worriz and Cragger fleeing. In the midst of the confusion, an all-out battle between the crocodile and lion tribes is started, which results in Cragger's parents falling down a fissure in the earth. Unbeknownst to the lion tribe and the other crocodile tribe members, however, they survive the fall, though they remain trapped. Cragger, though upset about the apparent death of his parents, still knows that the lions were innocent.
