To Do

From Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki
Revision as of 22:27, 6 December 2013 by ToaMeiko (talk | contribs) (→‎Open)

This is a list of current tasks and who they are assigned to during the Brickimedia beta period. Additional issues may be tasked to users at GitHub.

Open

  • Report bugs and suggest enhancements on GitHub
  • Internationalise help pages
  • File license templates, same as on Brickipedia but also include a new one for images from LEGO CUUSOO
  • Add documentation to all template pages
  • RfR pages (should follow Brickipedia style)
    • Patroller
    • Chat moderator
    • Administrator
    • Bureaucrat
    • CheckUser
    • Global Sysop (include a note that requests must be approved by the board before they can be publicly voted on, and that voters should include what wikis they use)
    • Global Bureaucrat (include same note as global sysop)
  • Rename badly named images
    • Aside: Can we have the uploader stop stupid names again? CJC95 (talk) 13:26, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
      • I think they're default names from certain cameras- it wasn't just one uploader NovaHawk 21:21, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
        • At some point we adapted Special:Upload to stop the defaults, is what I meant. CJC95 (talk) 00:11, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
          • Yeah, I was working on something like this on the old admin wiki at one point, though I can't remember if we had it on the old site. I will add it to github. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
            • We did, but it was buggy in its "filter", so it would prevent an upload of a file with the word "screenshot" in it, so you couldn't even upload something like "LEGO.com screenshot.png" for example. --ToaMeiko (talk) 19:50, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
              • Try setting it to screenshot- or screenshot_ then, or something. SirComputer (talk) 20:12, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Rename more badly named images.
    • Note- some of these images will contain errors. To fix the error, simply move the image to a temporary name without special characers, then move to a more descriptive name now you can see the image.

  • Caching, because no caching means less performance and higher page loads.
    • APC
  • Split all skins into separate repositories.
    • Comment: Do the default MediaWiki skins need their own repository? I don't think they do. --ToaMeiko (talk) 23:32, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
      • There might be a chance DeepSea could, but Vector and Standard, no, as we do not develop them. SirComputer (talk) 10:29, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
