RE: Stories Wiki User Menu
It might be a Chrome incompatibility or a conflicting CSS (I put a few things on !important). I'll have a look. Thanks for trying to help.

Main Pages
On c:Main Page and b:Main Page, do you reckon you'd be able to design a more simple version to display on mobile browsers/small screens? They're looking good so far. --ToaMeiko (talk) 16:34, 7 October 2013 (EDT)
Meta Main Page
How big do you want the Stories logo to be on your Meta main page idea? I can whip one up really quickly, I have all the things!
11:31, 9 October 2013 (EDT)
- If you didn't see, Meiko has added Brickipedia and Customs logos. When we get that top box sorted (does Meta need a logo?), and I'll add a CUUSOO logo for you, we can get it up on front. SirComputer | Stories Bureaucrat | Talk11:32, 14 October 2013 (EDT)
Userboxes
I love the userboxes on your page. We should convert all the old ones to that style. :P Drew1200 (talk)
- Yeah, I think it would be nice to have better userboxes. The option would be cool, but would totally defeat any consistency. :P Drew1200 (talk)
Glad to see that we have interwiki messaging now.
Yeah, I think I noticed the problems last time.
Oh, and hi again. :P

Spambots
Hey, Nova. Since Meiko left, do you need help with the spambots? I'll give myself global CheckUser if you'd like help. If you can handle it, that's fine too. :) Drew1200 (talk)
- Alright, I'll try! :) Being that Brickimedia is still in beta, most usernames should match up with the ones on Brickia. If there's a username that's exceptionally odd, you can CU it to see if it's a spambot. You can normally tell by the IP if it's a real person or not. You just have to be really, really careful not to block the account if you're not positive that it's a spambot. I wouldn't recommend doing that once we're out of beta. You probably have more experience with CheckUser than me, though, so you'll most likely be able to tell. :)
- With the global sysop, I thought all anti-spambot people had it. :S It's awfully hard to delete the spambot's pages if you don't have the tools. :P If you want, I'll temporarily give you global sysop until the spambots are mostly gone. This is all kind of weird, since you're technically the one who should be in charge. XD
- I apologize if this was a really confusing message. I can reword it if it doesn't make sense. :P Drew1200 (talk)
- I've noticed that almost all of the spambots are from Cloud Flare. Do you think a range block would help? Drew1200 (talk)
Suspicious activity
This seems quite suspicious. I'm pretty certain they're the same user, (although even if they have 1 letter difference) but I'm still curious since I'm not checkUser. Could you checkUser these?

GitHub rights
Hey, do you want me to give you push access to the Brickimedia GitHub repos so you can add in those CSS tweaks and stuff yourself? I can give you some advice for setting up git if you like?
Cheers, UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- Not especially. The easiest way is to install GitHub for windows (you are on windows right? (GitHub for mac). From there, it's plain sailing. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- Not nessasarily. Git can run entirely from the command line (I only use it from the command line), but if you're not keen on command line, I am sure there are some Git GUIs that run on 10.6. Maybe GitX? Any git client will do, it does not have to be GitHub-specific. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
- Yes, though in git-speak it's called cloning. You will have to copy the git URL (it's on the right hand side on github, https or ssh, either will do). Then you will have a copy of all the code on your computer. Then make your changes, and go back into GitX, and your changes will appear in the unstaged section. You must then stage your changes (mark that those changes are the ones you want to pass back to github), and they will appear in the staged section. Then, make a commit, with a summary, and push the commit to github. Check online, and your changes should be there.

- Phew, just summed git up into one paragraph... It's a whole lot more complicated than that, but that should get you started. The GitX user manual will be your friend :) UltrasonicNXT (talk)
Big Problem...
I just noticed that as soon as I made a global block on 173.245.48.0/20, it started thinking that it's my IP. That's especially weird, because that's not even close to my IP. So I essentially just blocked myself, and anyone else who is getting this glitch. To make it even worse, I tried to unblock that IP, and it won't let me. I can still edit if I'm logged in, but when I log out, it thinks I'm blocked. I'll open an issue on GitHub right now, but in the meantime, could you see if you can get 173.245.48.0/20 unblocked? Drew1200 (talk)
- Removed. CJC95 (talk) 17:40, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hello again. If you haven't seen this topic yet, I'd suggest looking at it (link). That essentially means that all these spambots we're blocking, aren't really spambots. They're using proxies set up by CloudFlare, which are shared with potentially any user who logs on here. That makes IP blocks useless and dangerous. It also means that the next time the spambot logs on, there's a good chance it'll have a different IP, making the global block ineffective. So I'm not really sure how we'll deal with spambots for the moment. Just keep blocking them, and deleting the pages they create, I guess. Drew1200 (talk)
Just so you are aware
I enabled anonymous editing globally (should have been done a few weeks ago), so you'll be seeing a pretty large amount of spam. Just rollback it all, and since I think the IP-related issue that was faced with global blocks is still around, so I'd be wary of blocking IPs. Also, if it hasn't been already, please do report the issue with IPs on GitHub. Thanks, ToaMeiko (talk) 02:26, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Help anyone?
I can't seem to view my userpage anymore in Safari- it comes up blank and says "internal server error" in my activity window. It works fine on Firefox and Chrome though :/ NovaHawk 04:49, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- Is this occuring globally? --ToaMeiko (talk) 14:44, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- No, it was just meta- but it's working again now :S Thanks anyway :) NovaHawk 22:17, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
Didn't know that, thanks. Not in a big hurry to get my old customs added, I have some newer ones to add now. (Plus, I redirected two to MOCpages already--you could go ahead and delete them on Wikia.) --ErkelonJay (talk) 17:14, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Re: Image import
Not a clue why... This script seemed to be safer than last time, but there will always be a few that get missed for whatever reason, and on such a big scale its hard to pinpoint the problem. Nothing looks unusual about that one file... The script did complain about various revision not found errors and so on.. Perhaps running it again might help, though if that tried to upload a new version of all the currently existing files it may not be worth it... I'll have a think. UltrasonicNXT (talk)
Re: Spambot
It's alright, no worries. :P Codyn329 (talk) 00:11, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
Templates
Could you make Template:Delete and Template:Documentation look nicer? Thanks, ToaMeiko (talk) 16:59, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi Nova, I was wondering if you could link me some of the templates for backgrounds and signatures? Also, I'm having trouble editing on my personal page on the Brickipedia part, my image won't appear and the preview button won't work. I'm relatively new to Brickimedia and only skimmed through the tools uses so far. -Krysto (talk) 07:51, 6 December 2013 (UTC) (Power Jim)
