21109 Exo Suit is the seventh Ideas set to be produced. It was released in August 2014.

The Exo Suit is the 7th Ideas project to be made a set and also the first set with green Classic Space minifigures. After many months of anticipation, the fans of the model saw four teaser pictures released by Peter Reid on his Flickr account. On July 4, the Exo Suit was revealed on Ideas. The Exo Suit went through a long design phase with a lot of brainstorming done by a team of AFOL.

- This set was designed by Mark Stafford based on a LEGO Ideas submission by Peter Reid.
- Despite being the sixth project to pass the review, it was released after the seventh one, 21108 Ghostbusters.
- It was the first Ideas set produced not to be based on an existing intellectual property.
- The minifigures are based on Peter Reid and his girlfriend, Yvonne Doyle.
