231 Esso Pumps/Sign is a Town Plan System I Leg Accessories released in 1955. It contains two pieces: an Esso Pump stand, and a Esso sign.

- 1247 Esso Pumps/Sign is exactly the same as this set, but was released only in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, whereas this set was released in all the countries LEGO was sold in at the time, including U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and the remainder of Europe.
- A variation of the sign was released in the United Kingdom.
