553 Straight Road Plates is a Supplementary Town set released in 1979. It contains two 32 x 32 road plates with a straight road pattern and a crosswalk on one end.

- This set was also released as 302 Straight Road Plates (with crosswalk) in 1978.
- The second version 302 Straight Road Plates (without crosswalk) released in 1983 did not have a crosswalk on one side.
