6598 Metro PD Station is a set of the Town subtheme Rescue and was released in 1996. It contains a police building, a separate prison on a small island, a prisoner transport, two motorcycles, a helicopter, a police boat, six police officers, a female civilian (possibly a secretary), a convict and a shark.

- The interior of the main building features several office rooms with computers. One room has a city plan on the wall. A coffee brewer is also included.
- This is one of only two police buildings that includes a police boat, the other one being 6540 Pier Police.
- This set includes a variety of rare window pieces.
- The island prison may be a reference to Alcatraz
- This set appears in the LEGO Island video game.
