This set was originally priced at £49.99 in 2008 but in 2009 it was re-priced at £59.99, and then in 2010 it was re-priced for the last time at £69.99.

The police car with the roof "01 POLICE" appears as a playable vehicle in the Wii U video game LEGO City Undercover and is called the "Squaddie".
The police van with the roof "02 POLICE" appears as a playable vehicle in the 3Ds video game LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins and is called the "Barker".
