852293 LEGO Castle Giant Chess Set is a Castle (2007) set released in 2008. It is a chess set with Castle themed pieces and decorations, with minifigures from both 2007 and 2008. It also comes with a case to store it once it is built. The good king is the Crown King, the good queen is the Crown Princess, the good bishops are Good Wizards, the good knights are the Crown Knights on horses ,the rooks are lego towers with crown knights on them and the good pawns are Dwarfs. The evil king is the Evil Wizard, The evil queen is the Evil Witch, the knights are skeletons on skeletal horses,the bishops are Troll giants,the rooks are skeletons on brick-built lego towers and the pawns are Troll warriors.This was the only set to include all four factions.

- Strangely, one of the Dwarf pawns is exactly the same as the Dwarf king minifigure, which is odd because he is a pawn as well as the other Dwarves, and has no special status.
