Brickipedia:2014 Comic-Con Contest
Note: This contest is now closed - results can be found here.
In celebration of the 2014 Comic-Con International: San Diego, Brickipedia is hosting a Comic-Con contest in association with The LEGO Group, who have generously supplied the prizes. To enter, you will need to create an original battle machine, using parts found in two LEGO sets from the same theme.
Eligible entries:
- Must have a registered Brickimedia account. If you do not have an account, you can sign up here.
- Must have at least one photograph of the set. For the judges to better-judge your entry(ies), it's better if you take multiple photos from various angles. To upload images to our site, please click here. If you need assistance adding it to your entry page, leave a comment below and/or come ask us in our chatroom.
- While you are free to use Flickr, Brickshelf or other image hosting services, it is recommended that you have a valid page on Brickimedia Customs. If you are unsure of how to create a valid page, administrators on Brickipedia or Brickimedia Customs will be more than happy to assist. Leave a comment below or ask for assistance in our chatroom.
- To be counted, you need to leave a comment below, linking to your entry, and stating which two sets you used for your battle machine.
- If you wish to link to a page on Brickimedia Customs, you can simply copy/paste the URL, or use [[c:name of your page here]].
- Should use a variety of parts from both selected sets.
- Should be some sort of "battle machine" or "mech". How you want to interpret this is entirely up to you.
- Must use official LEGO elements (TECHNIC, Mindstorms, DUPLO, etc. are acceptable), but contestants will be disqualified if bricks from clone brands are used. Digital renderings and LEGO Digital Designer projects will also not be accepted in this contest.
- You may make up to three entries, with a maximum of one entry per category: Star Wars, Super Heroes (DC Universe and/or Marvel) and Middle Earth (The Lord of the Rings and/or The Hobbit).
The contest will run from 0:00 July 15 (UTC) to 23:59 July 27 (UTC), and results will be posted on July 28 with winners also notified on their talk pages. Any entries submitted after this time will not be considered for judging, and any changes made to customs after the closing date will not be counted.
