Brickipedia:Proposed Name Changes/Renaming of Star Wars themes
For those who aren't aware, with the announcement of the name of the seventh Star Wars movie came a smaller change- all of the other six movies have had their : moved and some changes to italics. For example, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is now Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. So I'm proposing we change the names to match the new names of the movies. Also, I'm proposing a change from Star Wars Expanded Universe to "Star Wars Legends", as they changed the name of the EU when they mercilessly destroyed it. Setting up two separate votes since Legends is a bit of a different issue to the movie names, but I didn't see the point in creating four PNCs when it could be discussed in one.
Move movie subthemes "Star Wars Episode x: (title)" to "Star Wars: Episode x (title)"[edit source]
This includes:
- Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace to Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace
- Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones to Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones
- Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith to Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
- Move
- Although sets have been released only under the old names, I'd find it hard to believe the inevitable Episode VII subtheme would be released under the old format. So this is just to make things consistent. It's also possible any future PT sets will have an updated movie name in an official set description. Regardless of how stupid I think the change is, they are the official names now, so... NovaHawk 08:40, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not noticing any differences except "Episode X" not being in italics. In which case I guess that's okay. You know better. :P Berrybrick (talk) 15:23, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Move Star Wars Expanded Universe to "Star Wars Legends"[edit source]

- Because LEGO doesn't do subthemes anymore on their official site, it's probably not going to ever be officially referred to as Legends. But upcoming Azure Angel set is a Legends set, not an Expanded Universe set NovaHawk 08:40, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- They've completely scrapped that old stuff, so yes, move to legends. There will probably be future EU material too, and that isn't part of the same continuity as legends. BrikkyyTalk
- Sure. It also helps it sound cooler. Berrybrick (talk) 15:14, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
