An article on USA Today, frequently a source for our first images of new themes' mid-range sets, provides us with our first image from the LEGO Scooby-Doo theme.

ScoobyDooMysteryMachineUSAToday.jpg

The picture is of 75902 Mystery Machine, the gang's famous vehicle, as well as figures of Scooby, Fred, Shaggy, a zombie (Zeke), a Shaggy snack, and a tree carved to look alive! In addition to probably being an exciting moment for Scooby Doo fans, this set has a lot to offer for regular LEGO fans as well, with many light blue pieces, new stickers (a lot of stickers...), and a new windshield piece. The set will also debut spring yellowish green minifigure elements.

Thanks to whitecitadel on Eurobricks.com for linking to the article.

Update: Images of 75904 Mystery Mansion have also been found at Toys News International!

As for what the other sets look like, that is currently... a mystery. ;) But we will be sure to keep you updated! :)

I don't know what's wrong with you guys. That tree is awesome :D So is that sandwich.

(and no, I don't mean either sarcastically. You should never be sarcastic about hungry trees and their sandwiches)

The new parts are pretty crappy. And the tree in that one set is also crappy. But other than that, I'm liking the looks of it. It seems to go more to the roots of Scooby Doo with generic horror.

If anyone can see this comment, the article has been updated once more with higher-resolution images of Velma, Daphne, and the vampire.

Jinkies!

That tree is awful. :P Not the biggest fan of Shaggy either, and the back of the Mystery Machine seems a little jagged, but otherwise everything looks pretty good. I wish that we could get a better view of Velma and Daphne....

I love both sets! And the figures apart from the ghost..he looks nothing like he did in the series.

Anyway I'm trilled the sets are based of the original series (Proved by Daphne being based off her original variation)

Oh, almost forgot my personal opinion on the set. I'm very happy with how the minifigures are coming out, and Scooby even looks more LEGO-like than I expected. The Mystery Machine is also less juniorized than it could have been, and is very colourful. That tree really, really, really sucks, though.

Soup (or anybody else), if you have anymore Scooby Doo knowledge or observations to inject into the news article, feel free to update it. I haven't watched the show since I was six years old or so. :P
