Cars was a DUPLO-based licensed theme based on the Disney franchise of the same name. It was introduced in 2010 and was originally discontinued in 2012, although a new set was released in 2015 and a new Cars 3 line introduced in 2017.
Background[edit | edit source]
The DUPLO Cars sets were first released in 2010, featuring characters and scenes from the first Cars movie. Sets from the sequel Cars 2 were released in 2011, which also saw the introduction of a System toyline.
A new set, 10600 Classic Race, was released in 2015.
To coincide the release of the third film in 2017, a new line based around the film was released.
