Amy Pond, or Amelia Pond, is a former companion of the Doctor.
Background
The Doctor first met Amy by chance, having crashed his TARDIS outside of her home. Though he intended to make her his traveling companion, he had to stabilize the TARDIS engines, which required a small trip. He intended to be back in five minutes, but didn't return until she was an adult.
