Captain Marvel, or, more commonly, Shazam, is a DC comics character.
Background
A young Billy Batson followed a shady guy in an overcoat with a hat (why?) into a deserted subway at night. He was startled to find that the man wasn't in the subway when he got in it. The subway took him to a cave deep under ground where he found, as he proceeded farther in to the cave, he found a row of statues, each being a caricature of one of the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man. He finally got to the throne room, where an old and haggard man in a white robe with a long white beard sat on the throne. The man said his name was Shazam and he decided to give his powers to Billy before died. He granted his peers to Batson and then a giant stone block fell on his throne and crushed him. He then appeared in a ghost form and said that if Billy ever needed to talk to him, then he could just light the brazier right next to his throne with one of the torches in the cave to summon him. On that day, Billy Batson was granted all the powers of the seven Greek gods that the letters in the name, SHAZAM, stood for. Now, whenever he says "Shazam", a lightning bolt comes dow from the heavens and strikes young Billy, turning him into his super powered adult form, Captain Marvel.

- I decided to do Captain Marvel because he looked easy and he is another one of my favorite super heroes.
- Captain Marvel first appeared in Whiz Comics #2.
