Venom was the short-lived alias of Angelo Fortunato.
Background
In an attempt to make a man out of his son Angelo, crime-lord Don Fortunato bought the Venom symbiote from Eddie Brock at an auction. Angelo, willing to take the risk of hosting the symbiote, accepted the offer. Immediately putting it to use, he attacked Spider-Man, but was met with a crippling defeat. Angelo tried to flee, but, noticing his cowardice, the symbiote abandoned him mid-air, allowing him to fall to his death. The symbiote would then move on to another host.
