Are we looking to implement anything completely new to the site?

  • I'd like to see a small box like the {{vote}} box on set pages, where you can click either "own" or "want" and then have a list of sets you own or want, as well as a list of users who "own" or "want" a set (ie, much like Brickset's system). I just think it might be a nice feature really. I might be able to work on an extension sometime when I figure out how to make extensions, but I could be short on time very soon. • Nova's idea sounds good if we could work it out. A few months ago BFN and I talked about reviews for recent movies which are connected to LEGO, sort of like FBTB does and as an article and not in the review namespace. (Though I should probably not be allowed to write any.) I would also suggest expanding the news section to include editorials, but I don't actually expect anyone to write any. Those are the only ideas I have right now. Berrybrick (talk) 00:23, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
    • I agree with your idea for editorials. I'd love for more variety in our news where everything isn't just a report. I've kind of liked CJC's weekly posts, although I haven't read all of them, because they have some opinions and feel like what you're reading was written by a person and not a robot if that makes sense --ToaMeiko (talk) 00:54, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
      • I actually was going to do just a blogspace review thing. I've got the time and effort to watch stuff, plus the thread we have for movies doesn't really let me to talk as much as I want about a film - a blog seems nicer, tbh. --TheNightingale - Sky Above, Voice Within 03:19, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
      • Yeah, Meiko. Usually I like my news free of opinions trying to sway me a certain way, but I think CJC's are fine because they are satirical and poke fun at the hobby rather than taking it so seriously they want everyone to agree. I also agree with Czech; I feel like I killed that thread by talking too much. :P Berrybrick (talk) 03:35, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
        • The key to mine is that most of the opinions aren't actually my opinion :P CJC95 (talk) 20:37, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
    • Editorials sound like a great idea to me, although I think they should only be done when news is slow (ie, not in the middle of a toy fair, comic-con, a period where prelims are leaked, etc), so that it doesn't take away from other news, and because less people would be likely to read during a busy time. Related movies in the news space... eh. Or are you talking about somewhere else? FBTB's articles like that annoy me because they're meant to be solely for Star Wars news, and I hate getting hit with Michael Bay TMNT news all the time :P But, it wouldn't hurt to do one per movie I guess, it's not like the movies are coming out every week (yet... :P) NovaHawk 07:47, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
      • Well, FBTB has actually expanded to all licenses from what I understand, but our scope is broader than theirs. But if you just wanted to vent, that's okay. :P Berrybrick (talk) 22:30, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
      • We can't report on leaked prelims. ;) --ToaMeiko (talk) 16:42, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
        • Can we still include links to them on articles? That is kind of important. :P Berrybrick (talk) 22:30, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
          • ^ This. As far as I was aware, we just weren't allowed to post images of them, which is completely fine. I'm not so ok with censoring our information though- people lookng for info on upcoming sets is one of the main ways to draw users. NovaHawk 23:25, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Nexus just reminded me of this. We should see about getting that started up soon, if people are still willing. Berrybrick (talk) 22:30, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

    • If there is any need I'd love to be a part of this. -NBP3.0 (talk) 20:19, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

Video game level articles[edit source]

This section is resolved, but preserved for record-keeping purposes. Please do not edit this area.

  • Should we have them? I think we discussed it once, then instead decided to do walkthroughs, and do them on BrickiBooks. Then BrickiBooks died. My vote's for yes personally, most people don't search for video game articles to read about them, they're looking for minikit/gold brick/red brick locations, and that's something we don't currently provide. • Per your reasoning above, I Support implantation of walkthrouhgs or level pages. -NBP3.0 (talk) 12:51, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
