Giant spiders are awesome.... is the second in a series of animated online comics depicting stories from the Clone Wars universe.
Story[edit | edit source]
In the opening scene, a Republic Attack Gunship is seen being shot down above Tatooine. The ship crashed into the dunes, near a group of Battle Droids armed with a Separatist Spider Droid. As the droids decide to attack, the Clone Troopers are recovering from the crash. Captain Rex reports in to 'base', while him, Commander Fox, and a small group of clones engage the droids. When the clone attack the droids, pushing them back, Fox is seen still hiding behind some cover. Rex asks him why he isn't attacking whilst the Clones are battling the Spider Droid. Fox states that he is afraid of spiders, because the batch of clones, 82-4, all came out afraid of arthropods. The two are soon chased out from behind their shields by the droid and take cover in the downed gunship. Rex tells him that it's not really a spider, so there's nothing to fear but a bunch of hot laser guns. This inspires Fox to attack, and single handedly destroys the droid. Fox gets his picture taken by a fellow clone when several other spider droids walk up behind them.
