The Hapaka is a BIONICLE combiner model that first appeared in 2002. It can be built with the pieces of 8550 Gahlok Va and 8551 Kohrak Va The instructions for this model were once available on LEGO.com in the "BuildIts" section.
History[edit | edit source]
The Hapaka species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
On Metru Nui, Hapaka were used briefly in Ga-Metru to drive away packs of Kavinika, with mixed success. After the Great Cataclysm, some of the Hapaka moved to the mountainous regions of the newly-formed island of Mata Nui. Here, they were trained to protect the Mahi and Husi flocks of Po-Koro.
The Hapaka later migrated back to the Matoran Universe when the Matoran returned to Metru Nui.
Abilities and Traits[edit | edit source]
In the mountainous regions that they usually inhabit, Hapaka can travel from rock to rock with great agility. Hapaka are known for their herding skills and their sharp, barking cry. They are usually friendly and very curious creatures, and so were often taken in as pets.
