Impulse is a DC Comics character.
Background[edit | edit source]
Bart Allen is the grandson of Barry Allen from the future. He possesses his grandfather's superspeed. Bart travels to the present, where he takes the codename Impulse, in order to stop a future where Blue Beetle turns evil and helps The Reach to conquer the earth. After the death of Wally West, he takes up the mantle of Kid Flash.

- The background given above is based on Bart's character history in the Young Justice animated series, given that this is the only version of the character to appear in a LEGO property.
- In the game Impulse wears a stealth suit but retains the red mask from the red-and-white bodysuit which he normally sports in Young Justice, making this figure an amalgam of Impulse's appearances on the show.
- Impulse is not playable in LEGO DC Super Villains despite appearing in the Young Justice DLC level. He appears as an NPC during a boss fight with The Brain where Artemis and Kid Flash (controlled by the player) disable Brain's force field. Afterwards, Impulse begins to run laps around Brain at superspeed. He is joined by Kid Flash, and together the two disarm the villain.
