Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a DUPLO theme, based on the Disney Junior television show of the same name, introduced in 2013. Three sets and four DUPLO Figures were released in the theme.
Description[edit | edit source]
The theme features bright and colourful DUPLO bricks, mainly being Yellow, Red, Aqua, Lime Green and Dark Green. Each set includes several 2x2 bricks, two flowers and a gold doubloon (which is a new mould). The gold doubloon is rounded at the top and rectangular at the very bottom, it is gold and printed with a skull and two bones in the shape of an X and leaves surrounding it. The piece can be connected to regular DUPLO bricks.
Each set includes some island of some sort, usually were the gold doubloon is hidden. The islands are mostly green, and contain various plants. The other colours used with the island are aqua, transparent blue and yellow, giving the appearance of water and sand.
The theme includes several new printed pieces, including the gold doubloon (a rounded brick), a white flag with a skull and two bones in the shape of an X, a brown 1x2 with the printing of a tiki face, a light brown coconut on a red 1x2, and lastly Skully the parrot who is printed on a aqua 1x2 brick.
The DUPLO Figures, all contain new moulded head pieces, like the bricks of the set they are bright and colourful. Captain Hook also has a new moulded hook piece, which replaces his right hand.

The show revolves around a group of three children (Jake, Izzy and Cubby) and their parrot, Skully who are pirates in Never Land searching for treasure. During their adventures they come across pirate problems (puzzles they have to solve), when they complete these they are awarded a gold doubloon. In their adventures their main obstacle and villain is Captain Hook. Who has a gang who help Hook attempt to steal Jake and his friend's treasure, or beat them to the treasure if there both looking. If Captain Hook is successful in either of these, Jake and his crew have to get it back. After they succeed, Jake and his crew count their gold doubloons and put them in their treasure chest known as the "Team Treasure Chest".
