Krypto, also known as Krypto the Superdog, is a figure introduced physically in 2017. He first appeared as a playable character in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

Description[edit | edit source]

Krypto is a tall white dog with pointing up ears. Inside his ears it is light pink. Krypto has black curved eyebrows above his circular black eyes. His eyes have circular white pupils as well. Krypto has a triangular black nose at the end of his snout which is connected by a black line to his smiling mouth. Krypto wears a bright red cape. Around his neck he wears a yellow collar which is decorated with a red Superman symbol.

Background[edit | edit source]

Krypto was the El family's pet dog on Krypton. Jor-El sent him to Earth ahead of Kal-El as a test subject. Like other Kryptonians, Krypto gained superpowers under Earth's yellow sun. Though his simple mind and vast abilities make him difficult to control, he is extremely loyal to Superman, Supergirl and Superboy. Krypto is a founding member of the Legion of Super pets, where he fights along side his best non-human friends including Ace the Bat-Hound and Bat-Cow.
