Lego My Style: Preschool is an edutainment video game released for PC and Mac in 2000, with a PlayStation version in 2002, exclusively in Japan. Unlike earlier Lego titles, the game is aimed at a much younger audience, mainly preschool-aged children aged two to four, and is intended to teach them about basic shapes, colors, and early learning skills.

Development[edit | edit source]

Around 1998, when The Lego Group began expanding into the gaming market, the company started exploring ideas for games aimed at a younger audience than their other titles, with development beginning in 1999.[1]

Sequel[edit | edit source]

A second game in the subseries, Lego My Style: Kindergarten, was released the same year. The game is very similar but features slightly more advanced content to appeal to the older age group.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Lego My Style: Preschool was the first Lego game available for Mac.
    • An early ad for Lego Island suggests that a Mac version was planned but it was never released.[2]
  • Both Lego My Style games are also known as Lego My World in some regions.
  • The PlayStation version was released in Japan as Kids Station: Lego no Sekai.
